I love all of this except Ikigai 😭 the diagram we see today is made up by a westerner and isn’t the true meaning of ikigai sadly 😢. Ikigai has nothing to do with what you do but who you are 😌. I hope to share and spread the true meaning with an expert guest on my podcast soon. 💕 I feel like a lot of Japanese people don’t know the true meaning as well because of the diagram we see floating around on the internet today.
Wow, that’s amazing, and such perfect timing to learn that!! Tonight, I’m posting about the true meaning of ikigai (at least for most Japanese people). I don’t know if it’s the absolute answer, but based on what I hear from people around me, ikigai isn’t about what you’re good at or what the world needs… I actually reposted this because I wanted to clarify its real meaning for Japanese people too, so I am really happy that I have someone who also thinks the diagram isn't the true meaning of ikigai.
