Me too! When I went to the dagashi shop in Okayama for the first time, I was surprised to see so many flavors I didn’t even know existed. They even had a natto flavor too haha.
It’s a little sad that the number of dagashi shops has been decreasing in Japan recently, but I love that they still exist and keep that nostalgic culture alive!
I love umaibo! There are so many good flavors but cheese is still my favorite.

My favorite is the takoyaki flavor—maybe it’s because I was born and raised in Osaka😆 It just feels right!

I used to live close to a dagashi shop in Setagaya! The owner there was very kind, even when I first moved and didn't know any Japanese.
